All the Fiends of Hell

The red night of bells heralds global catastrophe. Annihilation on a biblical scale. Seeing the morning is no blessing. The handful of scattered survivors are confronted by blood-red skies and an infestation of predatory horrors that never originated on earth. An occupying force intent on erasing the remnants of animal life from the planet.

Across the deserted landscapes of England, bereft of infrastructure and society, the overlooked can either hide or try to outrun the infernal hunting terrors. Until a rumour emerges claiming that the sea may offer an escape.

Ordinary, unexceptional, directionless Karl, is one of the few who made it through the first night. In the company of two orphans, he flees south. But only into horrifying revelations and greater peril, where a transformed world and expanding race of ravening creatures await. Driven to the end of the country and himself, he must overcome alien and human malevolence and act in ways that were unthinkable mere days before. All The Fiends of Hell is a novel of alien horror from the four times winner of the August Derleth Award for Best Horror Novel.

"These hellacious beings may remind the reader of the classic indescribable creations of Lovecraft by way of King’s “The Mist” crossed with a wholly original depiction that only Nevill could dream up. The gruesome, purposeful acts they inflict on the few who survive might be the scariest things the author has created ... This might be his Swan Song or The Stand , at least in scope and story." Cemetery Dance

"The book itself is an excellent and exciting read, and the devastated world Nevill presents is incredibly rich ... There’s not a weak link among the characters, and the monsters of this story are some of the most interesting I’ve encountered in recent fiction. All the Fiends of Hell is a strong entry in Nevill’s catalogue, and an ideal entry point for new readers." Vogue Horror

"Unpleasant foreboding and an eerie silence = the ultimate creepy sensation. Nevill builds a story like no other." Horror Bookworm Reviews

"While there is eerie dread, creeping terrors and visceral horror, there is also a huge imagination at work here that you cannot help but admire. This is an invasion story like no other, an unprecedented apocalypse like no other, where the world falls to foes that are as intriguing as they are horrific." Hypnogoria

"Highly recommended and a magnificent change of pace from one of the Britain’s finest horror writers" - Tony Jones, Gingernuts of Horror

"Cosmic awe and existential dread make fine bedfellows and rarely have the two been combined to such devastating effect as in All the Fiends of Hell ." Dark Musings

"Can't recommend it enough, especially if you love apocalyptic fiction" - Happy Goat Horror
