Cameron and his mother deal with their tragic past in different ways—she with alcohol, he with an imaginary friend. But that imaginary friend has become so much more—a deadly, hard-to-contain force, its primary objective no longer the protection of Cameron. An LAPD detective—struggling to solve a string of grisly killings—and a psychologist—trying to understand Cameron—work together to uncover the connection. But can they stop such an elusive, impossible evil? Or will it rip them to shreds?

A clever blend of supernatural terror and police procedural, Cameron’s Closet is ready to thrill a new generation of readers. This 25th Anniversary Edition from Evil Jester Press features cover art from Alex Mcvey and a new introduction by Bram Stoker Award winner Joe McKinney. Don’t miss it!

How we calculate this

These are editorial estimates of intensity, informed by reading and review evidence, then checked before publication. They aren't star ratings, reader-vote averages or a measure of quality.

Each dimension runs from 1 (low) to 5 (exceptionally intense). A 5 is reserved for strongly consistent evidence. People experience horror differently.

Scary: Fear, tension and immediate threat.
Creepy: Unease, dread and an uncanny atmosphere.
Gore: Graphic injury, blood and bodily detail.
Disturbing: Upsetting ideas and lingering psychological impact.
Weird: Surreal, strange and reality-bending elements.

We draw a filled profile only when all five scores have been reviewed. Unrated does not mean mild. Missing scores are not estimated from genre tags or your saved taste. This profile isn't a complete content-warning guide.
