The Curse of Edith Waits

When he discovers an old photograph of his grandmother Edith, Will Waits knows exactly why his family tried so desperately to destroy it. Edith and her husband were notorious killers, responsible for a garden filled with unidentified bodies. But the truth behind their crimes is far stranger – and more terrifying – than anyone in the family ever imagined.

In 1946, Edith’s mother buys an old camera in a junk shop. Over the following decades, photographs of Edith take on a life of their own. Strange figures begin to appear, seemingly summoned whenever the camera’s flash goes off. And while Edith is horrified by what’s happening, her monstrous husband John senses an opportunity to feed his darkest desires.

Years later, Will becomes convinced that the photographs still possess the same power. But where are the victims really being sent? Why do events seem to circle back on themselves across the decades? And if the past has already happened, how can Will use the situation to his advantage?

The Curse of Edith Waits is a horror novella about a mysterious camera, a terrified family, and one of the oldest questions of all: what if trying to change the past is the very thing that makes it happen?
